Meta's WhatsApp Business pricing in Nigeria (from 1 October 2026)
Meta charges per delivered message, priced in US dollars, based on the recipient's country. Your tool provider usually charges a separate subscription on top.
| Category | USD per message (Nigeria) | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing | $0.0516 | Promotions, offers, broadcasts |
| Utility | $0.0067 | Order, payment and delivery updates |
| Authentication | $0.0067 | One-time passcodes |
| Authentication (international) | $0.075 | OTPs from businesses outside Nigeria |
| Service | First 1,000/month free per number, then $0.0067 | Replies within 24 hours of a customer's message |
What changed on 1 Oct 2026: service replies are no longer unlimited and free. Each business number gets 1,000 free service messages a month. Utility templates sent inside an open 24-hour window are charged too. Conversations started from Click-to-WhatsApp ads still get a free entry window. Meta changes rates only on 1 Jan, 1 Apr, 1 Jul and 1 Oct.
